G. General categories :

Family:

I made this category since I know how difficult it can be to find an accommodation in London, as people less then 18 or at least 16 are usually not allowed in a hostel, which also goes for adults over 35, or a least 45. Obviously, the reality is sometimes different, so don’t be shocked if you see someone who definitely looks under 16, it depends on the hostel (sometimes they make exceptions).

However, one thing is certain, you won’t be able to go inside their pub and drink a beer if you are not 18, they are merciless!!! Even for the hostel I found you, the Piccadilly Backpacker Hostel London, which allows children and grandparents ;-0 to stay in the hostel, 16 years old are still not allowed in the pub! For the hostel itself, they must be accompanied by an adult or have a letter from their legal guardian giving them permission to travel. Couple:

For couples, it is a lot easier, thanks to the fact that in almost each hostel, you can get a private room. However, of all the cheap hostels that I know of in London, the cheapest is still the “Central Hostel” - £17.50 to £20 a night, even if it is not the most romantic one. For that, I will suggest you the Generator Hostel. For instance, prices starts from £25 a night per person for a double room, or even the one of the Astor Hostels, you will pay from £35 a night per person for an en-suite double room – which means that you get a personal bathroom.... which offer a lot of other possibilities ;-)

If you want to make this weekend more unforgettable, drink a bottle of champagne with chocolate or strawberry and...

Group travel:

If you want to travel with a group, I have four hostels to recommend you, depending on what you prefer: * The Generator Hostel, like a lot of hostels, makes some discounts for groups. Nevertheless, the difference here is that it’s situated in the heart of London next to Russell square station, which means next to King's Cross, Covent Garden, the British Museum, and the most important, they definitely offer you the best party you ever had in a hostel. Crazy theme parties...everything with a fancy dress and a cheap cocktail!!! For one night in a dorm room, it costs around £15 to 17, maybe less if you’re with a group.

* If you are looking for something more personal, the...
